The temperature dropped, the waterfalls froze into pillars of glass, and the Rangers of the Wilds moved out. This album captures our recent winter trek through the rugged gorges of Hocking Hills, where we proved that the call of duty doesn't freeze when the temperature drops.

While most retreated to the warmth of the hearth, we took to the icy trails to monitor the wintering woods. From the sandstone cliffs of Old Man’s Cave to the frost-covered pines of Cedar Falls, these photos serve as a reminder: the forest never sleeps, and neither do its protectors. Snow, sleet, and sub-zero winds are simply elements to be weathered in the pursuit of our mission.
